A four-star casino stay on Casino Drive where buffets, friendly dealers, and lively evenings keep more than five thousand guests averaging 4.2. I spent two nights in April chasing the after-dark glow and how well the room actually slept.

“The buffet service is fantastic with various options to choose from. Turning round the casino room is another fun on its own.” Ranti Olatoregun · Google

After dark Casino New Brunswick flips into its brightest self. Machines glitter, dealers keep a quick friendly rhythm, and the public spaces feel dressed for a night out. Walking from dinner into the gaming floor is a sensory jump — exciting if you want it, intense if you do not.

The room was the soft landing. Light in the morning was generous, the bed inviting after the louder floors below, and the first thing I noticed was how calm the suite felt once the door shut on all that colour.

Was the stay worth it? Qualitatively, yes — for a weekend that wants entertainment, a serious buffet reputation, and a comfortable place to sleep between rounds. It is a mood stay as much as a mattress stay.

Public spaces carry the brand: a lobby that feels staged for arrival photos, corridors that stay lively near event hours, and lingering spots where guests wait for tables or shows. Decor gets frequent praise for a reason.

Night sleep depended on distance from the energy. In my room, darkness held and noise softened to a distant murmur. I slept well after the first evening’s overstimulation wore off — the same arc some first-time casino visitors describe.

Check-in was brisk and smiling. Keys appeared quickly, and the walk to the room threaded past the decorative moments guests call stunning without turning into a maze.

For my Moncton trip, the Casino Drive address worked: parking was easy, the property held the evening, and I did not need a second neighbourhood plan.

I would come back for a concert weekend or a short couple’s escape when we want the buffet and a lively floor — with a personal spending limit set before we walk in.

Access notes

During this stay we could verify step-free public routes to main reception areas we used, and we could not personally verify every room configuration, lift detail, or bathroom layout for every accessibility need. Features change — treat our notes as a starting point only.

Confirm before you travel — contact the property directly about your specific requirements.

The room

Morning light found the curtains early. The suite felt composed after the casino’s visual noise — space to unpack, a bed that invited a proper sleep, and a quiet that made the overnight feel like a hotel stay rather than a leftover from the floor below. I noticed the calm first, then the comfort, then the small relief of a room that did not try to compete with the gaming lights.

Standouts

Buffet praise

Variety, size, and return visits dominate food comments.

Excellent dealers

Staff and service on the floor earn repeated five-star notes.

Scenic setting

Guests call out mountain views and a never-dull campus feel.

Parking ease

Lots of parking space keeps arrivals simple for road travellers.

The honest verdict

Guests love

  • Friendly staff and attentive dealers
  • Buffet variety and generous spreads
  • Decorative public spaces and event energy
  • Easy parking and a fun on-site loop

Worth knowing

  • Casino floors can feel loud, dark, and overstimulating
  • Set a personal limit before you play
  • Concert sightlines can be blocked by standing security
  • Some guests want quieter evenings than the floor provides

Service

Service is the through-line. Guests talk about dealers who check on drinks, breakfast teams that keep the buffet moving, and a general friendliness that makes a large casino feel less anonymous. My own desk and floor interactions matched that pattern: quick, warm, and alert without hovering.

In their own words

★★★★★
“Fantastic location. Very beautiful view of the mountain. Never a boring moment visiting this place. Lots of fun in and around the hotel. The buffet service is fantastic with various options to choose from. Turning round the casino room is another fun on its own. I also like the fact that they have lots of parking space. Can't wait to return with my wife next time.”

“First time in a real casino in 20+ years. The experience was mixed. It was very dark, loud, blinding at times (the machines). They have a large selection of slot machines between old school and newer larger slots. The biggest and most exciting and dangerous feature was the ability to cash out whatever you have left and take that slip and put it into another machine. Then carry on gambling. I was able to try 3 or 4 machines to see if I liked the game by winning a little then running it down to $40 or so then move on to another. My wife and I set a limit and did not exceed it which I recommend. We ended up leaving after an hour or two when she had enough due to over stimulation from the noise and lights.”

“Was there many time but mostly for concerts the venue is awesome and big but my only issues are that if I paid to see a band and I have to sit I don't want to have security standing in front of me so I can't see the show thats not what I paid for also your pop prices need to be lower considering your only using cans of pop to fill cups. Also the buffet is absolutely wonderful 😋”
